The prayer times look wrong
Almost always the calculation method. Settings → Prayer times → Calculation method, then pick the one your country or mosque follows. If a single prayer is still a minute or two out, adjust that prayer on its own.
It says Makkah instead of my city
Makkah is the fallback when Zad has no location. Grant location permission in your phone settings, or set your city by hand in Settings → Location.
The adhan is not arriving
Check that notifications are allowed for Zad, and that the prayer is set to adhan or alarm mode. On iOS a notification sound is capped at 30 seconds by the system — for the complete adhan, use alarm mode, which also plays on Silent.
A widget is empty
Open Zad once after adding the widget. Widgets display data the app has already computed, so before the first launch there is nothing for them to show.
Downloads keep stopping
Recitations and mushaf page images are large files. They resume where they stopped — reopen the download screen on a stable connection and it will continue rather than start over.
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no paid tier, and no tracking. Zad is sadaqah jariyah and that will not change.
