The full adhan — even when the phone is on Silent

A notification sound gets cut short and a silent phone stays silent. Zad can use an alarm instead, so the whole adhan is heard.

Alarm mode

Set any prayer to alarm mode and the complete adhan plays through Silent and Do Not Disturb. Notification sounds on iOS stop after 30 seconds; an alarm does not.

A choice of muadhins

Several recorded adhans, including a separate one for Fajr. Preview before you choose, and set a different sound per prayer.

Pre-prayer reminders

A quiet nudge 10 or 20 minutes before, if you want time to finish what you are doing. Off by default.

Silence what you do not need

Shuruq is informational, so it never sounds. Any prayer can be set to a vibration, a short alert, or nothing at all.

If the adhan is not arriving

Check that notifications are allowed for Zad, and that the prayer is set to adhan or alarm mode. For the complete recording on iOS, alarm mode is the only option that is not capped at 30 seconds.

Privacy

Alerts are scheduled locally on the device. Zad has no push server, so no prayer alert ever travels over the network.
